++saving ryan's private++*oops, i mean saving private ryan*

watching "saving private ryan" in history class today, cause teacher said it's the most accurate account of WWII battle fields. the film starts off with an old man walking through a graveyard, and then it changes to a battle scene on the german shore line *not that sure*, the day is d-day *or near it*. since it's suppose to be the closest account of a wwII battlefield, i was disgusted and amazed at how gruelsome the picture was. sure we read in the text book that there were heavy casulties, but no one ever really visioned it to be that bloody, it's just not in the brain to imagine.

gruesome gruesome pictures, with a leg here and an arm there, and bullets flying everywhere. and that was suppose to be a successful battle, so how much bloodier is the unsuccessful ones? how can the human race be so cruel to each other, to kill each other over pieces of land...and we count ourself as the top species too.'><' *just lost my thought*
